Because nobody is going to risk anything. And as such, the more game breaking they are, the less relevant they are as people aren't going to let them pass. It's Monopoly cheaters edition, not Gamblers edition. It's completely pointless to create high risk and high reward cheats. And you don't buy hotels very often - there are only 22 properties in the game. You have to buy hotels in the open and you have to have title deed cards in the open, so verifying that you're cheating is very easy with this cheat. The rewards are so game breaking that this is the single cheat people would watch out for for their lives. It's completely pointless to think about executing it under normal conditions. So when will the risks be worth it? Simply put, only when you're losing, only when the people's attention is dull through speedy uneventful play or alcohol and only when you have the Accuse another player card. If you were going to lose, then getting away with it is game breaking and getting busted only prolongs the game. If the risks are not worth it, you're either a total lunatic for executing that cheat, or you were going to lose anyway, in which case it doesn't matter if you get busted. When you execute it, you have to be able to evaluate the risks, just like with any other cheat. And the risk factor of the cheat helps that a great deal. And let me tell you, there's nothing to hope for. In my games I use 40 cheats - 15 basic and 25 custom. I've got months of regular experience in ultimate cheat mode. How much experience do you have with the game? Might make high-res versions of these in the future. Here are the current cheat cards for reference:ĮDIT: Updated with some new sketches of some of the cards I felt were viable to be included in gameplay (Credit to u/chmcarro for Line Jumping). Now I'm looking for some more ideas, so throw me anything you've got, no matter how creative. After playing Monopoly: Cheaters Edition a couple times, the same old cheat cards became a little repetative, so I wanted to make a couple custom cards to spice up the game.

They show theories like Mel Gibson exposing an underground Hollywood pedophile ring, and Bill Gates creating a COVID-19 vaccine to control the U.S. Videos that were removed by Vu after receiving strikes on his YouTube channel were reuploaded by one Vietnamese misinformation researcher to show the damaging impact of Vu’s rhetoric. Since firing up his YouTube channel, Vu’s become notorious among first- and second-generation Vietnamese Americans, who watch with concern as their parents consume videos containing misinformation and conspiracy theories. But none of these careers landed the following that Vu has now found online. Since arriving in the U.S., Vu has tried his hand at being a musician, a writer, and, for the last 25 years, a radio host, having worked for Little Saigon Radio in California before striking out alone in Virginia. He explained that, as a Vietnamese refugee who came to America by boat and fled a Communist regime, he wanted to show the world what a craving for freedom looked like. Over email, Vu was friendly and polite, far removed from the pantomime villain he plays online. Though hardly as well-known as the far-right conspiracy theorist, Vu is a big name among Vietnamese American Republicans, the only major Asian ethnic group that had a net favorability rating for Donald Trump in the 2020 elections, according to the Asian American Voter Survey. But with his booming and theatrical voice, penchant for conspiracy theories, and ads for own-brand miracle cream, Vu is perhaps more of a Vietnamese Alex Jones. In an email exchange with VICE World News, Vu said his fans like to call him a Vietnamese Rush Limbaugh, after the late shock jock radio host that pioneered right-wing internet rhetoric. “This is all just propaganda for the Democrats!”Ī former radio host, Nguy Vu - AKA Kingradio - has been in the YouTube game since 2019. “Why don’t they protest today when they killed ten white people?” Vu said in Vietnamese, referring to the Boulder King Soopers mass shooting in March. During a recent appearance, he pulled an image of anti-Asian hate crime protesters up on the screen. Streaming live from his Virginia Studio, YouTuber Nguy Vu has shoulder-length black hair and wears tinted dark-rimmed glasses. This can be seen say in the fast-food industry (employment levels in this industry peaked with market saturation), as with the mobile-phone industry (again, employment levels in their production peak with market saturation). There comes a saturation point where hot-dogs reach a peak consumption, and the rise of employment in that industry will remain static. Will demand for hot-dogs continue to rise inversely proportioned to their cost? No. Imagine the price of hot-dogs has been reduced so much that the cost of production is now trivial, and hot-dogs are no longer a treat but are in abundant supply. While this might seem like a rosy rationale to explain why technology hasn’t seemed to effect employment numbers to any great degree over the past half century, it falls short on two levels:įirstly, on an economic level – the hot-dog analogy only maintains employment levels or increases the levels of employment when there is latent demand for hot-dogs in the economy. Therefore, the company might actually hire more people in aggregate than it did initially to fulfil the two tasks as yet unautomated. Instead, the result is likely to be that the cost of hot dogs comes down, this is reflected in the price of hot dogs as rival stands also start to automate – and the lower cost of hot dogs creates a surge in demand. Imagining that the company invests in automation to do one of these functions (say preparing the sausage), the result isn’t simply the unemployment of the sausage producers, nor is it the suppression of wages as the former sausage producers move into baking and bun filling. Those that prepare the sausage, those that bake the bun, and those that put the sausage in the bun. This same analysis was neatly captured in an analogy painted by Paul Krugman back in 1997 which he imagines a hot-dog stand that has three types of workers. The optimism the authors feel for the limited (read: 10% unemployment) effects of automation on the economy is that increased automation actually might increase employment in other industries as automation will lead to higher productivity, higher wages, and therefore higher demand for consumption. Reference to this point would have been worth noting in the report, as the long term effects of the transition of these workers is still being felt today. Even taking the most optimistic view of the future that the IPPR hold, that only 10% of jobs will be eliminated through automation, then this would be a much greater number than the 200,000-strong UK mining industry that rose up against Margaret Thatcher in the early 1980s. It’s hard to square these findings with the toned-down response that “jobs will be transformed, not eliminated”. The article also seems to support Artz’ 2016 findings that 10% of UK jobs are at a high risk of automation and that by the mid-2050s (which, to put into context will be when my son will be the age I am now currently) half of current work activities in the global economy will be automated – and that this is likely to be true also for the UK. The conclusion of the analysis is that mass unemployment is a highly unlikely scenario, although makes much of the 2017 McKinsey report that indicates as many as 60% of occupations have at least 30% of activities that are automatable. This is predicated on a lengthy analysis looking at the effect of automation on the workforce and on unemployment rates more generally. The tone of the report can be summarised as “automation will transform the workplace – we need to act now to ensure the impact is fairly distributed”. The report is split into five sections, initially reporting the findings of the analysis conducted by Matthew Lawrence, Carys Roberts and Loren King of the IPPR and then moving on to suggesting measures that can be taken to avoid some of the pitfalls they foresee by the current trajectory of this technology. Where appropriate, the report’s findings have also been critiqued. While the report comes on the back of a wave of activity during 2017 on the subject “Will Robots Steal our Jobs”? It’s refreshing to read a piece that considers a range of factors such as capital v income inequality as well as the ethical regulation of technology and technology companies.įor those who don’t have time to read the full 56 pages, this article is aimed at the lay reader who is seeking a more measured view than The Sun’s “Jobs Terminatored” headline which followed the publication of the report. Yesterday (28th December 2017), the IPPR (a UK think-tank) published their report into the effects of automation on the economy and posited some suggestions as to initiatives that might be put forward to address the problems foreseen ( ). Plus the LL core library has been expanded with new sounds, drum kits, racks, grooves, loops, and more. It listens to and adjusts its tempo based on incoming audio from another musician or other gear like drum machines in real-time. Live Lite also gets the neat tempo adjustment functionality also introduced with Live 11. Another addition is Expression Control, a device that gives you detailed control of how MIDI parameters such as velocity, modwheel, pitch bend, aftertouch, and keytrack respond in Live. This makes the Lite 11 version much more useful. Musicians can now add up to 16 scenes in session view for more varied arrangements and space to experiment with ideas. There are also positive changes to the scene. Saturator: A waveshaping distortion for adding dirt, punch, and warmth.Useful for mastering a track or on any signal that cannot exceed a certain volume. You can also find an infrared motion sensor on each camera, which triggers motion recording and notifications. This protects the video/power cable so it's harder to tamper with. It's a good idea to secure the cables along the top of a wall, and you can buy a cable run or cord cover to conceal them if you don't want to stress about hiding them (though it will be pricey if you do 60 feet for each camera). But having multiple cameras does make up the shortfall a little.Įach camera comes with a 60-foot video/power cable, which is long enough to reach most areas of an average-sized home-provided the DVR is in a central location. Although this is wider than you might see on other wired security cameras, it's narrower than the 130º average on most wireless cameras. We're not big fans of the cameras' narrow field of view (100º), which limits how much they can see. This type of night vision is more effective than most Wi-Fi security cameras, which illuminate about 25 feet on average. Each camera comes equipped with powerful infrared LEDs that give it up to 100 feet of night vision range. The four cameras in our Night Owl system are weatherproof, so you can use them indoors or outdoors. Still, the lag was less apparent compared to a wireless camera like the Arlo Pro 4, probably because there's no Wi-Fi involved on the sending end. When you watch a livestream on the mobile app, you can expect a short lag depending on your internet speed. Still, renters in apartments (like the small apartment where we tested) might see a little motion blurring close to the camera with people walking directly in front of it. If you view the video on a monitor connected to the DVR, it looks crisp without any noticeable motion blur at a distance. Compared to wireless cameras like the Ring Stick Up Cam and Wyze Cam Outdoor, the quality doesn't hold up considering those are easier to install. With Night Owl in particular, we found the color wasn't great in dim rooms and just decent in bright spaces. (We didn't test this, but it's true for most wired surveillance systems.) In our case, the included cameras topped out at 1080p, which is standard for security cameras these days. Still, we suspect it supports a variety of wired add-on cameras with lower resolutions as well. The DVR supports recording resolutions up to 1080p. Video quality is a tricky subject when dealing with DVRs like the one Night Owl uses. However, all of these are important questions to ask. You may even find yourself asking more questions than these. Where are you planning on placing the timer? Does it need to be mounted, or should it be easy to move around the room? Sometimes, you may even get a reduced rate if you set up auto payment. Banks - Your local bank or national banks usually offer the most competitive interest rate. With online lenders, you don't even need to leave your house to get an auto loan. Online lenders - Check the interest rates and costs in the comfort of your own home.Following are the lenders you can apply for auto loans. It is recommended that you check interest rates and closing costs with multiple lenders to get the most competitive deal. If you see any error on your credit report, contact the big credit bureaus, Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, and have them fix the issue. If you are responsible with your bills and have a low credit score, you may want to get your credit report to see if there are any errors. Therefore, it is critical that you check your credit score before you even begin to shop for cars. The higher your credit score, the lower the interest rate.Ĭar buyers can save hundreds or even thousands in interest payments with a good credit score. Lenders use your credit score to decide whether or not to approve your auto loan, and credit score is what they use to determine the interest rate you will be getting. Before you apply and start the car loan application process, make sure you do the following first.Ĭhecking your credit score is the first step. There are pros and cons of getting a car loan from these different lenders which we will discuss shortly. You can get a car loan from local banks, large national banks like Citibank or Chase, car dealerships, online lenders, and credit unions. The longer the loan terms, the lower the monthly payment, and the more interest you pay. The monthly payment is determined by the size of the auto loan, interest rate, and terms. The monthly payments include payments for principal and interest. You then repay the loan with monthly payments. You apply for the auto loan, and once approved, the lender will give you a lump sum to help you finance a car purchase. What good is a low payment if it takes you 84 months to pay off the loan? Is the selling price for the car a good deal? What about the trade-in amount the dealership is offering for your car? Ask for the "out-the-door" figures from your salesperson and review them before making a decision. An auto loan works just like any other loan. When you obtain a monthly payment, be it from a price quote, negotiation or advertised special, make sure you are aware of all the numbers behind it. Furthermore, these figures will differ for those who lease, so take a look at our articles for information specific to that scenario. Keep in mind that everyone's situation will be different, so these recommendations are not set in stone. The loan term should ideally be less than 72 months, and you should aim for a down payment of at least 10% or consider GAP insurance. Your loan payment should be no more than 15% of your take-home pay. The general rule for each of these is as follows: It is also important to be aware of how much the loan will total, how much of a down payment you're making, and how long the loan will be. And though this figure is the easiest to understand, it isn't the only number to be aware of. It can give you a reality check on whether you can afford the vehicle. The monthly payment is the best indicator of how the car loan will impact your budget. Here is the code I've tried to get the hv.help(hv.Curve) command to work. I've tried print(), and running with help(). I've tried running the command in my terminal. I've tried running it as part of my code. In it it says "For full documentation and the available style and plot options, use hv.help(hv.Curve)." It does not however explain how to use this. The help page for holoview is not helpful. I wanna see what options I have for things like hv.Curve, when I use opts. Been using holoview to generate some neat plots. |
